10+ year veteran of the test and measurement industry brings strong marketing expertise and product knowledge to modular oscilloscope leader
February 23, 2006 – Boyd Shaw has joined ZTEC Instruments as Marketing Director. Boyd is responsible for defining new product strategy and roadmaps and expanding product marketing activities, as well as, product management for all ZTEC products. Previously, Boyd was the Product Manager for Yokogawa Corporation of America’s digital oscilloscope family for five years. Before joining Yokogawa, Boyd held various technical marketing positions at Hewlett-Packard (now Agilent Technologies) in the Test & Measurement Group during his 5+ years there.

According to Boyd, “The test and measurement world will be hearing a lot more about ZTEC in the coming months and years. Many users in various applications in this industry are transitioning from benchtop to modular instruments as modular instruments continue to increase their measurement capabilities and improve their user interfaces. Plus, as users recognize the many benefits of modular instruments, such as small footprints, lower cost and more flexibility, compared to benchtop units, we think the benchtop-to-modular migration will continue. ZTEC is a key part of this migration. ZTEC’s modular digital oscilloscopes, for example, bring advanced triggering and analysis capabilities, along with a familiar and easy-to-use user interface, to higher bandwidth modular oscilloscopes.
