ZTEC Instruments, a leading modular instrument design and manufacturing company, is excited to announce the ZT410 family of digital storage oscilloscopes for PXI, PCI, and VXI. Available in both 14 and 16 bit versions, the ZT410 family combines traditional bench top oscilloscope features with high precision measurement capability. The instrument’s low noise, distortion, and drift, provides the dynamic range needed for even the most demanding measurement applications.
Like all ZTEC modular instrument products, the ZT410 family is designed to include capabilities familiar to the bench top oscilloscope user. These capabilities include flexible signal conditioning, advanced triggering, multiple acquisition modes, on-board signal processing, and much more. Even features like auto-setup and auto-calibration are included.

In addition to bench top capabilities, the ZT410 family provides all the features found in today’s modular digitizers, such as state of the art data conversion technology and deep on-board sample memory. The products modular architecture is ideal for applications with high channel count requirements.
Multiple products can be synchronized together using the local timing and trigger bus. The product’s phase lock loop and trigger capabilities provide tight synchronization for applications with the most stringent timing requirements.
Like all ZTEC modular oscilloscope products, the ZT410 family comes with the ZScope soft front panel. The ZScope allows users to get up and running quickly with complete interactive instrument control. ZScope auto-detects hardware in your system and can be used with any instrument within the product family. The instruments come with plug-and-play instrument drivers that can be used with common software development environments, such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Visual Basic, and C/C++. Each product in the family uses the same driver, providing seamless migration between the products. Driver source code and an intuitive command level interface can be used for those interested in using non-standard environments or register level access.
It is important to note that the ZT410 family is firmware and software compatible to ZTEC’s other modular oscilloscopes, including the 8 bit ZT450 family and the 12 bit ZT431 family. By maintaining firmware capability between the product families, customers are able to quickly migrate between ZTEC products without the need for costly software overhauls. In addition, ZTEC is committed to maintaining firmware compatibility on future products, providing customers seamless upgrade paths for years to come.
The ZT410 family is available in PCI, CompactPCI/PXI, and VXI form factors. The PCI and CompactPCI/PXI versions will be available in early Q1 2006. The VXI version will be available shortly thereafter. Please contact ZTEC Instruments for more information.

All ZTEC products are built using the ZTEC Universal Instrument Platform (UIP). This innovative and proprietary building block technology allows ZTEC to deploy common instrument hardware across multiple modular bus architectures, including VXI. Because UIP instruments utilize the same hardware core, ZTEC is able to deliver higher quality, higher performance, and lower cost modular instrument solutions to our customers.
