End of Life

Products reach the end of their life cycles for a number of reasons. These reasons may include: changes in market demand; changes in technology; a newer, more capable product replaces the older one; or certain parts may become no longer available. In order to help minimize the disruption caused by a ZTEC product being discontinued, we have established the following end-of-life policy.

  1. Whenever possible, ZTEC will provide at least 3 months notice to existing customers via phone and/or email whenever a product is planned for end-of-life. An announcement will also be posted on www.ztecinstruments.com. As part of the announcement, ZTEC will identify the last date that the product may be ordered and, when applicable, identify a replacement product.
  2. Access to ZTEC customer support will be available for a minimum of 1 year from the end-of-life date.
  3. Calibration and repair services will be available for a minimum of 5 years from the end-of-life date. We will provide these services in accordance with our Return Materials Authorization (RMA) process.
