NORMAN L. ZIOMEK
Norman L. Ziomek has been a director of the Company since it was incorporated in 1998. He is a retired manager and engineer with 30 years varied experience, having had positions as a mechanical engineer, nuclear power engineer, project engineer, project manager and operations manager. He also directed and managed the development and implementation of project management throughout a large corporation. Over his career he was employed by a number of large and small organizations including the federal government, Bechtel Corporation and Pacific Gas & Electric. His final full-time position was as vice president of operations for a fluidized bed boiler manufacturer. After that he was active part-time as an investment advisor and financial planner. He holds a mechanical Engineering degree from Santa Clara University, an MBA in Operations Research from San Francisco State University, and a certificate in Financial Planning from University of California, Riverside. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a licensed Mechanical Engineer in California.
DAVID C. ROBINSON
David C. Robinson graduated from the University of Colorado in 1969 with a BS in Engineering Physics. He has held technical, marketing, and executive positions at Goodyear Aerospace, Bancomm Corporation (a founder), Datum Inc (Division President), Synchron Inc (President Startup Corp), and TrueTime (Director New Business Development). While at Datum Inc, Mr. Robinson was instrumental in establishing business relations between Datum and ZTEC Instruments. Mr. Robinson has published numerous technical articles including articles for ZTEC Instruments; and holds a patent on Trusted Timing Infrastructure. Currently Mr. Robinson is an independent consultant and investor.
DENIS P/ RITCHIE
Denis P. Ritchie is Managing Director of Dickson & Ritchie LLC an investment banking, business consulting and mergers and acquisitions firm with locations in Boston and New York. He has been a senior executive in a turn around capacity for the following companies: Microwave Device Technologies, Analogic Test and Measurement Division, Signal Technology Corporation Olektron Operation, AEL Defense Corp, Adams Russell Anzac Division and M/A-COM, Inc. His primary focus has been in the marketing/sales and channel management side of the business, but has worked as company President and General Manager. He has traveled extensively through out the world and has significant business contacts in the following market segments: Test and Measurement, Telecommunications, Defense, Security, Safety, Medical Electronics, Avionics, and Industrial Precision. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire with minors in Business Administration and Computer Science. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from Northeastern University in High Technology studies.
JAMES R. HIGDON
James R. Higdon was elected director of the Company as part of the shareholder approved Voting Agreement entered into with the Verge I Limited Partnership in 2004. After an extensive career in the electronics and semiconductor industry Jim joined CVI Laser in 1992 and saw it grow from a good small company into a world leader in laser optical systems. CVI is one of the top 3 laser optics companies across all product lines and the clear leader in many important market segments such as tools for electronics test and metrology. With over 400 employees and manufacturing subsidiaries in both Asia and Europe, CVI is well positioned to expand its share of the laser components market. After selling CVI to an investment fund that is part of the Wells Fargo group, Jim decided to remain in New Mexico and continue building technology companies. Jim is a partner in Verge I Limited Partnership, a newly formed investment fund targeting seed and pre-seed stage technology opportunities and is currently involved in several early stage companies.
MICHAEL R. OLIVERI
Michael R Oliveri is currently the Worldwide Vice President of Sales for Sixnet, a manufacture of Cellular Modems, RTUs and Ethernet Switches. Sixnet is focused on the Military and Aerospace, Water and Waste Water Management, Oil and Gas, Alternative Energy and Process Control market space with annual revenues of over $30 Million and a growth rate of greater than 20%. Michael has been with Sixnet since August of 2008. Previous to Sixnet, Michael spent 3 years as the Worldwide Vice President of Sales and Marketing for North Atlantic Industries, a manufacturer of Embedded I/O cards. Previous to North Atlantic Industries Mike was North Americas Vice President of Sales and Marketing for LeCroy Corporation, a leading supplier of high performance digital oscilloscopes. Before joining LeCroy Mike spend over 20 year at Tektronix Inc with various positions of increasing responsibility including National Sales Director, Vice President Americas Sales and Marketing, and Worldwide Vice President of Sales Operations. Mike has a BA degree from New York Institute of Technology and has completed executive studies at Wharton School of Business, Brookings Institute, University of North Carolina and Stanford University.
WILLIAM R. SHREVE
William R. Shreve is the Founder and President of Innosav, Inc., a management consulting company focused on maximizing the return on clients R&D investments by optimizing innovation commercialization. Shreve has worked on and led test and measurement research in a broad range of fields including physical sciences, circuit design, manufacturing optimization software, and system operation software. In his nineteen years as a laboratory director at Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies, Shreve and his teams have contributed technology for launching businesses in lightwave instruments, communications, semiconductor components, fiber optic and wireless components, measurement systems and bioinformatics. His teams also advanced the state of the art in architecture, algorithms, and software for distributed measurement systems, for automated test solutions, for manufacturing operations optimization within HP, and for LAN-based measurement systems. Shreve holds a master's degree and doctorate in applied physics from Stanford University, a bachelor of science in engineering physics from Cornell University and he attended the Wharton Executive Advanced Management Program.
